How Do You Get Students to Participate in Activities Outside of Class?

The flipped classroom model depends on students coming to class prepared and ready to participate. And so when students come to class and they participate now, that's where you step into your critical thinking sort of framework. Is that kind of how these things are connecting together? Yeah, I do have some low level learning where they just have to do some quick retrieval because you need that quick retrieval for things to stick in the brain as it goes from short term memory to long term memory.
