How to Grow an Audience

As a web cartoonist, I think I have a much different experience with this. One of the things about fiction is that everything that leaves everything you write is going to have some sort of life of its own. And so you need to kind of look at what you're putting on the page and try to imagine the different ways it can be perceived. But also don't be surprised when someone comes to you and says, oh, this thing that you did, and you're like, I have no idea what you're talking about.
