In 1983, people started giving their children unusually spelled baby names like weird names. This is the beginning of the key fit revolution, Jim Fix and Jane Funder work at Vidia. So this individualistic kind of culture really, it's very sort of shockingly quick how it starts changing us as a people. People feel increasingly that they have to be perfect in order to survive. And because of the self-esteem movement, people think that deep down there are authentic self-esteem is perfect anyway. It's just not true, and it's incredibly toxic.
