CHAPTER

Is There a Balance Between Positive and Shadow Imagination?

How do you balance the worst possible things happening from the best? Is it sort of cheap and easy to air too much on one side or the other? Or is there a happy meetout? I love this question. So what would i encourage people to do? And what we practise at the institute for the future is to have an active balance of what we call positive imagination and shadow imagination. If you're excited about a future, let your shadow imagination form it. Ah, can we pull those positive imaginations, pos futures, into the present somehow and create a connection? One thing that is always on my mind, mit, is the future of migration, and particularly round climate change.
