Russia has absolutely huge territory at the moment and it's not taking care of people who is living on this territory. It just makes no political or economical sense for Russia whatsoever. The troops that are being sent to Ukraine are extremely poorly equipped. Do you think it's fine they're basically being sent as cannon for them because they're not trained?
