The Allotment
This was our fourth summer at the allotment, where we had learned how to make things grow. The family that gardened in the plot next to ours had gotten too busy as their sons grew. A couple of times each summer they'd all come by and lend a hand with planting or weeding or harvesting. And we'd have a picnic under the trees like old times.
