The End of History and the Last Man
There were an awful lot of arguments that all of this was simply inevitable. Thomas Friedman went so far as to argue that two nations, both of which had McDonald's restaurants, would not go to war. Now does that hold or not? Even if you try to add some footnotes in order to say it held for a number of years, it certainly failed last year in the year 2022.
