Top Gun: Maverick is not intended to denigrate the work you do or the function of the military and society. It's just about not making a film that trivializes it. Jerry Breckheimer doesn't give one single shit about what I think and nor should he. He did make a fun movie in a place where we hadn't seen it. The way they treat the planes in this movie are really staggering when you step back and think about it.
