The Science of Materialism

There seems to be an insist, a dogmatic insistence on ruling out anything material. What is the science to prove that only material reality is real? I'm trying to frame it scientifically so it can fit into this metaphysical naturalist worldview and so it can justify one of its premises. And I'll give you an answer which I've heard from Stephen Carroll - and I'll get a new atheist.
