If you can get them while they're tired, but not cranky and over it, you might be able to get a couple of hours of extra sleep for them. When i was pregnant when my children were young, we had them really close together. I remember i would nap during the day when i was just so exhausted and pregnant,. And i'd put on cinderella on the television because it was one of the only movies that didn't have really scary parts. So i would lie down on the couch in front of the television. Not all children sit and wat eve, but these two did, and it was what i needed.
Two weeks ago I shared some thoughts on "the genius of routines" and the response from listeners was off the charts. Questions poured in. In this Q&A episode, my wife Anna joins me to respond to these questions and share immediately applicable and realistic ways to apply routines in families. This podcast episode is not just for people in the c-suite: it's for parents, managers, employees: and everyone who wants to put routines to work for them in the real world.
