Is There a Definition of What People Are?

A person is an entity that can create explanatory knowledge. Explanatory knowledge tells us what's going on in the world. And that one entity in the universe are human beings. But presumably all intelligent aliens that are out they know it has to be the case at all intelligent aliens out there, we'll similarly be able to explain their world.
