An a o u can be implemented, as i mentioned before, by just combining a number of the components that i discussed in the previous episode. The control unit is extremely important because it is the component of the cipiu that performs the many computational operations necessary to actually run the programme. An a takes in two inputs and gives one output - so each each input might consist of, say, a 32 bit number. So that it may take in two 32 bit numbers, perform all the operations on them, and then select one of those, one of the results of those operations to output as a single 32 bit number result.
