The Importance of Inward Orientation
I've had the idea that so God creates, if we are God's children, that we have an inward orientation towards home. We're not just random, we have a Godward orientation that's part of the Amago dei that is in us and granted to us as children of God. So it's not that God forces anything on us so much as that God, since we're God's children,. we already have a direction that we are created to go as part of God's good creation. That sense of divine within us, the sense of God. And beyond that, I mean, Gus and says that our hearts are restless until they rest in him. Piper himself elsewhere says
