The Death of DevOps
A lot of these, the way the platform engineering work is doing is it's just mapping onto the silos that we already have in the name of developers having a click button and then separating the team out. So there's people talking about DevOps being dead. Just because devs don't want to do ops doesn't mean the ops went away. It actually means that you need tighter collaboration and coordination between the dev and the ops people through a clean API,. But if you think you're just going to hide all that stuff under a simple UX, it's not. We're missing the valuable conversation that DevOps started.
