The Relationship Between Life History and Growth in Homo Erectus
We think that the basic life history is fairly similar to our own. They mature a little bit more quickly than we do. By the time you're a middle teenager, possibly a little bit later, we are still quite young. For an erecting, that may not have been the case. The reproductive cycle may have kicked in a little bit earlier. And one of the interesting things that accompanies this is there are two phases for humans which are important, and then that early teenage phase.
