I've seen attempts, for example, to make the case that the emphasis on logic and excellence is somehow white. I mean, if the thing is worth doing, then by definition it's worth doing well. And so the notion that excellence is somehow associated with a given race or a racial view is preposterous and demoralizing. In its positive forms, it invites anyone who wants to be part of it to share in it - which is again, not the case with other cultures.
