Coffee's Future Looks Pretty Bleak
Coffee is a perennial crop. It has to be in the ground for many, many years. Eron says that farmers could be encouraged to move to new locations where conditions are more favorable or try out a new species of coffee. All three scenarios require effort and investment. Unless we do something about greenhouse gas omissions a, none of those adaptation pathways will make any difference.
