NRD is a long short hedge fund that was founded in 2018 at Spartan Capital. It's one of the only ones in this space, and you have to be able to short things for it to work. In equities, you'll run a long short book primarily based off of fundamentals because they're much easier to gauge. You can wake up on a Saturday morning and have a short up 50% for no random reason just because. That takes some getting used to from sort of a mental capacity standpoint.
