The Death of John Tall

Inventors of the telegraph had tried one last time by appealing to the English government. They established a single electric telegraph line that ran from Paddington railway station in London to slough near Windsor Castle. The ID being that Parliament and the Queen, Queen Victoria, could communicate very quickly between them if they needed to. John Tall sat inside his first-class carriage, quietly gazing at the towns as they sped along. He has a ticket; he has a first-class ticket. A number of respectable people saw him, people who didn't know each other. It's unlikely that Tall noticed something running alongside the train tracks, those electric telegraph lines.
