The Final Whistle

The Chelsea goalkeeper was not removed from his goal during the penalty shootout. The clock was still running and he couldn't make a substitution after the game had ended. He stayed there for two or three minutes while they continued to play. This is what you want in any situation, but it's against the rules. It would have been amazing if Sarri had anointed one of his other on field players to be the goalie who could save penalties. But that wouldn't have happened - this guy got to stand in the goals and do the shootout.
