Is the Higgs Field in the Universe?
The universe cools simultaneously everywhere. The big bang is not like the explosion of a tiny, little, dense blob of matter in the early universe. And so we think that the whole universe cooled at once. This moment when the higgs field was relevant probably happened all over the universe. We don't really kno what those face transitions are like. That's one reason we want to build bigger particles s to recreate those conditions and see the physics behind them.
