The Unpreparedness of the Bolsheviks

I don't think anyone looks very kindly back on how incredibly unprepared and under theorized the Bolsheviks were on the transition. They really just stumbled into it and that had some pretty dire consequences. I find it harder and harder to take the kind of beautiful losers stuff seriously. It's like guys, no, come on, we've got to actually do this seriously and actually win because it's not okay to fuck this up.
