The Bread of Life Who Satisfies

In John 6, we have a group who take a boat ride to an isolated place to be with a distinguished yet mysterious individual by the name of Jesus. And though he has no Michelin stars or an exclusive restaurant, the day before he's fed 5,000 people through the multiplication of a few fish and a few loaves of bread. Their conversation is centered on food and drink and it culminates in an offered meal which moves like the menu from initial interest and provocation to challenge an ending in the crowd's absolute horror. Cannibalism is what apparently Jesus is inviting us into.
