The One Two Punch of Curating Places of Wonder and Surprise
Many confused Japan is being completely crowded in the character space, right? Because it seems like there's characters everywhere. But then there are certain places that the consumers do go where they have a very strong connection to that place. And so anything that I find there, I kind of assign either a level of curiosity or just the general feeling about that place. It takes on a very different meaning to be found there versus thousands of something at a law mark somewhere which don't really carry meaning for anyone at all.
