CHAPTER

Addict Gamblers and the Pleasure of Gambling

The pleasure of gambling starts to be separate from the pleasure of winning. Studies show that an addicted gambler's brain releases more dopamine when they're losing than a healthy person who doesn't gamble. Can any of those effects be extrapolated to people speculating in the stock market? Oh absolutely. They enter the world of gambling. It's highly reinforcing. They experience non self or self forge ting, which we all crave. And than it doesn't really matter if they're winning or losing. What matters if they can stay in the game.
