The Senate Gets Rid of the Prevos Question Motion

When the first house and senates met, they had to adopt their own set of rules. The rule book in both chambers had a previous question motion. This meant that if a debate felt like it was going on too long, a member of the house or senate could end the debate by asking everyone if they were ready to put the bill in question to a vote.
