Is Every Nation's Origin Story Always Correct?

Is every nation's origin story always correct? Are there any that have misleading or false ones? It's certainly true that you can't take everybody's origin story at face value. Certain long settled people have no accurate memory of their true origins, and they have provided an account based on folklore and mythology. But one thing that the hopi, the zuni and the egyptian origin stories have in common is that they describe events occurring long before recorded history.
