David Wheeler: Domestication tends to cause bottlenecks because when you're doing selection you're reducing the sample size, any given generation. He says hunter gatherers and foragers did quite well in places like Northern Europe on the north where there are a lot of calories that they can access. The Pacific Northwest tribes could do hierarchy, primary production beyond primary production to surplus according to Wheeler. And it's interesting how Israel is so important obviously many of the listeners and viewers are going to be, you know, believers that Israel is very important religiously in the origin of the human species.
