i think the war in ukrane has really underlined how fundamentally unserious these people are. I don't think you can stand for that and lie. And i also think there's a battle about the west and values and democracy, and a whole set of things that are being kind of put alongside the thing that petin represents. It makes it all shallower, makes it harder to take moral authority on the international stage. The public, it seems, still care about party gate.
