Lewis is worried about moral failure for a number of reasons. He's trying to help us navigate this very difficult boundary between being a good citizen, those are behaving this way, and at the same time going beyond that in terms of Christian behavior. I think there's a link between worship and being a moral person, because worship inspires us to encounter God and become deeper in our faith as a result.
