The Importance of Knowing What Religion Is
In Socrates' dialogue with Alcibiades, he's forced to admit that he didn't know what religion is. He then makes up a new reason for his lack of knowledge about it. In the same way, someone who knows they're wrong might not want to spend much time in an intermediate state before coming up with another definition.
