Tov is theoretically a word that means good. Tov-Lamarah, is this almost as lie you tell yourself? Lusting after it with my eyes. Once I start realizing how big that utility is, I realize how powerful this thing that the tree gives me is. Rabbi Foreman was describing a really dark slippery slope from desire for knowledge of good and evil to becoming power hungry. Pursuing anything with cold-hearted singularity becomes a kind of power grab.
