The Demo Scene Is Basically a Demo Party
The demo scene is essentially people who are trying to create the most intense audio visual experience they possibly can in the smallest file size possible. So you'll say things like we've only got 64 kilobytes of, you know, space and we've got to do in that 64 kilobyte which is not much more than an email with a very small JPEG attached. The answer is no, it's not impossible at all. It's just there's a lot of modern code is just massively bloated.
