Rent Seeking

There is a tremendous rent seeking that still took place through the eighties yu hereabout eighties and nineties, you'll hear about stories of what are called suitcase enterprises. Once the economy was opened up in terms of price controls, in terms of opportunity that allowed people to make more money, it basically set look, our job is to grow rich. So i think in that context, mister pakworthy sort of saying that i sort of see the logic of it, that, yes, it's true, but it's also the case that there was tremendous rent seeking.
