I think one of the great reasons to have a professional well trained volunteer engagement leader in an organization is to look at things like this. If I have a concern that volunteers will begin this role and look around and say, they just don't want to pay someone to do this. This is a paid job. I never want our volunteers to feel that way. They will sniff out any inkling that they are being used. And when you lose trust for government, it has a more of a ripple effect to me. So we have to look at that where we have to determine, is this an appropriate volunteer opportunity? Or is this a new staff member that doesn't quite yet know what volunteers
