The Importance of Building Your Own Levels

Doom is a game of two halves. You get resources from raiding other people's bases, you get other people's resources from them raiding your bases and then you bring them back to spend upgrades,. Your traps, upgrade guards and give them special powers that you can then put in your outposts. I found the base building to be a little bit more, well, it was a lot slower and I didn't find it as interesting. There are some people that obviously just spend their entire time building and making these incredibly complex almost unbeatable bases. But they're kind of the fun ones to go into.
