We can never really know a person, because why? Because the ego invented the people. The people are reflectors of what's going on in your consciousness. That's why jesus says, when you meet any one ber it's a holy encounter. As you see him, you'll see yourself. As you treat him, you will treat himself. As long as you think of your brothers and sisters as bodies, think of yourself as the same thing. So if you think with the ego, you think with perception. Remember, god didn't create perception.
