It was a horrible year and she was quite rightly called it an Annas Horribilis because the years started off with Princess Anne divorcing Mark Phillips. Then we had the separation of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson but prior to that we had the famous toe-sucking pictures in one of the tabloid newspapers. The work went so well that Buckingham Palace decided to bring the completion date forward so it would coincide with the Queen's Golden Wedding anniversary.
