What's the Importance of Section 230?
The Supreme Court will be hearing arguments at Google v. Gonzalez on Tuesday this week. The case centers on claims that YouTube's recommendation algorithm contributed to the death of an American woman in the 2015 ISIS terrorist attacks in Paris. Democrats would like to see companies take a stronger hand in moderating content while Republicans perceiving an anti-conservative bias want fewer constraints overall.
