The go tool did exist, but it was pre 1.0. But our decision process was, well, basically we're hitting the wall on Ruby and, and we needed to change. And I think the, the simplicity of the language and with, you know, almost same performance as Java,. not quite, but, but close. It turns out it was a really good decision, luckily.
