According to the onsumer price index, inflation ros by about eight and a half % yer over yeare in march. That's the biggest increase in over forty years. People think of us as having had 13, 14 % inflation in the 19 seventies but that's only because of the way it was calculated then. If you used the same way we calculate inflation now, it got just above ten % in the 19 70. We're actually closer to being back there than i think most people realize.
