In your answer just now you motivate the turn to Kant's liberalism with meaning as an antidote to some of the things that are happening in our age among them, enemy polarization. What would you say to a Rawlsian liberal who says it's precisely our moment that demonstrates the need for Rawlsian style liberalism rather than further debates over value? Yeah, I think that my answer, it's similar to an answer that Michael Sandel has long given, which is: We tried that approach for much of the 20th century and it was ultimately unsuccessful.
