The idea is that you have to close this gap between training and competition. And so that means, for example, if your child is playing high level tennis, the first time to show up to watch them is not at their big match. If you're going to take an SAT or an ACT, you've got to practice taking SATs and ACTs. That's the sports analogy. You want to get used to what it's going to be like in the real situation.
