The Importance of Institutions in Mental Health
I think there's a lot to be said about the fact that these institutions are, like, I'm sure people who work in them have the best of intentions. But they're not necessarily always really attacking the root cause of any of the things that they're trying to treat. And you know, it's not obviously for a hospital to fix those things, but it is for a society to structure things so that people don't end up in mental hospitals where we can avoid it.
