Those who hold to an intermediate state would say, well, if there's some part of you that endures, it has to be somewhere. The hope is the resurrection of the body, but that the soul kind of continues to exist in the presence of the Lord after death. So I feel like what you were talking about with regard to Ruach and Nefesh, that the Old Testament terms for breath and spirit, that is perhaps, am I right? But that seems to me like a most more of a critique.
