Can I Keep Track of My Calories on the Ketogenic Diet?

If you're putting in more calories into your body than you're burning off, those surplus calories are going to end up as stored body fat or a manifest itself in metabolic derangement over time. The energy density of the ketogenic diet is about twice that of a normal diet. You won't have these big postprandial excursions in your glucose that kick off a surge of insulin that make you hypoglycemic a few hours later.
