I want every episode to be like a master class on a topic. If I'm focused on trying to build a relationship with a person, I might ask questions about who they are and what they do. But it would not help get the most out of the topic we're trying to describe. Every now and then I do an interview that doesn't have a path. It was remarkable to hear the ways in which you both explore life in slightly different ways.
