The Background Noise That Din You Were Talking About Is Just a Diffuse Source of Noise

Scientists expected to find the c m b, as we talked about that part of the spectrum. They also expected to hear sor of like a diffused background. But they heard this hiss. It comes at a different wave length, and it's much, much stronger than what you would expect from all the galaxies emitting. And so this is the first time we realize that the background noise that din you were talking about, is just much larger than what we can explain.
