Is There a Kind of Autonomy in Responding to Feedback Forms?
I think there is a sort of anti surveillance politics of refusing to share one's experience, which is what so many of these kind of feedback forms are concerned with. And I think that we struggle nowadays, given the sheer weight of media and the kind of algorithmic nature of the contemporary public sphere, to be able to find the spaces of freedom for the exercise of some kind of autonomous aesthetic judgment. So if there's been a mass democratization of aesthetic judgment and an aesthetic critique, that should be welcomed. But I think that the kind of Formatting of that democratization and the control over it and the routinization of it is obviously more what's the problem here.
