The actors who played ethel and fred barely tolerated each other off camera. The last thing they ever filmed together for i love lucy was a scene where lucy's disguised as a mustachioed chauffeur. Lucy herself, som dezzie never did win any emmys. In fact, i don't think he was ever nominated. But despite all his behaviori i just have to say, underlying the rest of this entire story, all the parts, lucille loved dessie very much. Sometimes it's not enough.
